Publish Date: 2007-07-24
At Chestnut Community Arts Centre in the heart of Tottenham last week, an important event engaged the black community in critical discussions about business initiatives, enterprise and entrepreneurship.

For the first time, any where in the UK, four inspirational black business pioneers came together to share their personal trials and triumphs along their journeys to success. The stories of intrigue and passion held the audience spellbound as the plots unfolded, overturning racial and financial obstacles.

Tim Campbell, winner of the Apprentice and founder of the Bright Ideas Trust, Alexander Amosu - founder of the R&B Ringtones & Mobs Video, Wilfred Emmanuel Jones - The Black Farmer and Levi Roots of Dragons Den fame and creator of the Reggae Reggae Sauce brand spoke with conviction about their humble beginnings and their dreams which fueled their abilities to perform within the competitive world of business.

The astute businessmen were there along with the Voice Newspaper to encourage the black community to look within themselves and realize their potential. The presenters spoke with one Voice: With full recognition of our natural entrepreneurial spirit and equipped with a positive attitude, we are guaranteed succeed in enterprise.
The organisers of the event
g.a.p (Growing Aspiring Peoples)
were thrilled with the large turn
out.
“The evening was truly inspirational.
It was Fantastic that our
celebrity panel gave their services
to the community completely
free of charge and provided such
excellent insights into how they
developed their own personal
brands and how they and their
businesses became winners against
all the odds.” Said Paulette West
CEO of g.a.p. Network.
The audience (which included
The Mayor of Haringey) was
clearly motivated and excited about
the possibilities for their own ideas.
Many used the opportunity to network
and engage the speakers at the
end of the function. Some persons
openly expressed their pleasure for having
attended the event and their conviction to use the
information provided.
