ABN TV to launch on Virgin

ABN TV is set to air on the prestigious Virgin TV platform from Thursday 22nd February. In this exciting new deal, Virgin TV customers will now be able to watch ABN TV on channel 842, bringing it’s exciting mix of authentic entertainment, news and telenovelas that has already earned it legions of fans the SKY platform.

In its 5th year, ABN TV has twice earned the title of the UK’s Favourite Black Broadcaster from the Screen Nation Awards in 2014 and 2017, and just
recently won again for 2018, cementing ABN TV as the leading Black TV channel in the UK.

The channel already attracts about 100,000 viewers daily on the SKY platform, and launching on the Virgin TV platform will grow these numbers – making it the most watched black channel in the UK. ABN TV will continue to deliver its unique mix of programming with these shows to look forward to:

- Reality Shows: Judges Show, Ghana’s Most Beautiful & Young Icons Street Edition
- Telenovelas: Maid in Manhattan, Beautiful but Unlucky & La Tormenta, with 3 Sides of Anna & So Much Love launching in March
- Music: Afrobeats Shows & ABN Gospel Live
- News & Documentaries: Joy News (4 times daily) & AM Breakfast Show
- Drama Series: Taste of Love & This Thing Called Marriage
- Lifestyle: On The Hot Seat, Family Time & The Standpoint & Ndudu by Fafa
- Gospel Shows with Pastor Kingsley Appiagyei, Pastor Eastwood Anaba and Pastor Mensa Otabil

As ABN TV celebrates it’s 5th year in May, it also continues to expand it’s in-house productions that will see more new shows made by ABN TV, on ABN TV this year and into the future. ABN will now be on two platforms; SKY channel 235, and Virgin channel 842.
