ACLT founder completes London Marathon in style

PROUD MOMENT: Orin Lewis after his marathon run

THE AFRICAN Caribbean Leukaemia Trust's (ACLT) Orin Lewis completed last Sunday's Virgin Money Giving London Marathon in 5 hours and in true style!

A spokesperson of the ACLT said: "He did amazingly well and made us all so proud of his efforts. He has a angry blister on his right heel and a stiff lower body and thats it! "

For his efforts Lewis was awarded a certificate, a medal and lots of photos to share his memories of a great day. He is now just £5,251.88 (excluding gift aid) from reaching his 20k target.

Lewis said: “What an experience of a lifetime! Daniel was the inspiration behind why the ACLT was founded 20 years ago and twenty years on he is the reason I decided to take on the ultimate challenge. I did it for Daniel. I did it to mark ACLT’s 20th anniversary - I am completely overwhelmed.

"I feel honoured to have received such fantastic support from family, friends and ACLT supporters. I am extremely grateful to all who have donated towards my £20,000 fundraising target. I still have a little way to go. Please continue to share my story in the hope further funds can be raised and I exceed my target. Thank you.”
