Afropunk London returns for 2018 Brixton takeover


RECOGNISED FOR celebrating unity, creativity and heritage in the music world for over 14 years, AFROPUNK is a triumph of multiculturalism and diversity for people of all races, genders, colours, creeds and tastes.

Now entering its third year, AFROPUNK London has evolved with a community focus. This September will see the return of AFROPUNK as it descends on South London’s eclectic hub, Brixton, steeped in rich history and effervescent with diversity in cultures.

This year's week long programme spans art, fashion, film, music, education and more over six days. Expand your mind and feast your ears and eyes with a whirlwind of inspiring offerings, including an art exhibition at 198 Gallery, performances from revered supergroup, August Greene (Robert Glasper, Common, Karriem Riggins), plus DJ sets from Jazzie B, BBZ collective, BORN N BREAD and more are just a few of the events in-store.

There’s will also be a whole host of talks, workshops, music and film screenings still to be announced, plus, food, art, style and the return of Battle of the Bands.
