Balotelli ‘threatened’ woman taking photos of his Ferrari

LIVERPOOL FORWARD Mario Balotelli allegedly threatened a woman who was taking pictures of his red Ferrari, according to a complaint made to police.

The 24-year-old is now being investigated by police following a report which claimed the 24-year-old footballer threatened a woman’s daughter who photographed the car as it was parked on a pavement in the Wythenshawe area of Manchester.

Police were called to the scene yesterday (Oct 23) at about 3pm following a complaint about the player who joined Liverpool from AC Milan over the summer.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “We received a report of threatening behaviour and we are investigating.”

Police are set to interview the people involved in the incident.

This latest episode rounds off a particularly bad week for Balotelli, whose performances for Liverpool have been poor, while he was widely criticised for swapping shirts with Real Madrid’s Pepe at half-time during the 3-0 Champions League defeat to the Spanish giants at Anfield on Wednesday (Oct 22).

Police involvement with Balotelli marks the first time the Italian has caused headlines outside of the pitch since he joined the Reds. He was celebrated for his ability to generate stories over his antics during his first stint in England at Manchester City.
