BBC’s upcoming antiques game show is sure to be a hit

Q: WHAT IS the show about?

The programme is called ‘Curiosity’ and really it’s about our fascination with objects and the stories that surround them. Even in the fast changing high-tech modern world, there is a massive market for old stuff - whether a collection of Jukeboxes from the 60’s, some vintage 70’s trainers or indeed an antique Edwardian sideboard - someone somewhere will want to own it. This competitive series brings the stories around the collections to life and we get to find out what these things are worth.

Q: How did the show come about?

For a long time I’ve been trying to come up with a way to do an antiques and collectables show that doesn’t feel dusty and stuffy but is vibrant and fun, yet still informative. Curiosity is that show.

Q: What can the audience take away from the show?

I’m sure people will recognise many of the objects in the programme, they may even have a few lying around at home. They will also get an insight into the stories behind the objects and find out how much they are worth and be able to play along with the game at home.

Q: How can people get involved with the show?

We would love Voice readers to get in touch and take part in the show! it will be a really fun game to play. They need an interest in history or collectables but don’t need to be experts and they could win up to £1000.00.

Q: What is to be expected for people who participate in the programme?

It would take a day to film, we cover travel expenses and it will be great fun. We are currently looking for teams of two to take part in late Jan/Early Feb.

If you’re interested in taking part, please send them a couple of lines about yourselves, including your knowledge of antiques etc, pictures of you and your team mate and contact numbers for their team to get in touch with you both – contestants@hungrygapproductions.co.uk
