Billionaire son singer offers fans chance to make video

VIDEO COMPETITION: Davido wants fans to create his next music video

A NIGERIAN artist currently on tour in the UK has challenged fans to create a video for his latest single.

David Adeleke, son of a Nigerian billionaire who took to making music three years ago despite his father wanting him to study medicine or law, told The Voice that “the best video would be awarded $5,000 (£3,153)."

The 20 year-old who has churned out massive hits including Overseas and Ekuro, said “fans should make and send a video” to the single Skelewu to enter the competition.

Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, added: “Music started for me back in high school."

He also hopes to provide a platform for the competition winner to join his successful HKN gang, a music group he started with his brother Ade Adeleke.

“Sometimes when God gives you the talent you just have to use it. Some people want the talent that I have, he continued.

The successful Omo Baba Olowo singer was born in Atlanta and is scheduled to perform onstage at the O2 Indigo this Sunday (September 15) for his first UK tour.

Adeleke added that “the winner would get the opportunity to perform on stage” in cities including Birmingham, Manchester, and Liverpool.
