Black business of the day: CurlyTreats

POPULAR: CurlyTreats festival (Photo credit: Casey Lashley)

TODAY MARKS the beginning of Black History Month and The Voice's upcoming black business publication.

To celebrate both of these major events, we'll be celebrating a black business each day to countdown our publication, and highlight the many black-owned brands and companies across the globe.

For October 1, we're starting with CurlyTreats

Priding themselves on creating immersive, memorable and meaningful experiences, CurlyTreats Festival started as Natural Hair Week in 2013 and was rebranded by Shirvina Best in 2017.

The annual festival is the ultimate one-day event celebrating all things natural hair, beauty and wellness. Acknowledging culture by empowering, educating, entertaining and elevating the community, CurlyTreats festival provides a safe space for over 12,500 attendees.

Filled with exhibitors, the festival boasts interactive workshops, live features and expert speakers. This spectacular event promotes being your best self and is a day of empowerment, entertainment and influence at its best.
