Black led charity to tackle homelessness with Phil Fearon

ENGLISH RECORD producer and lead singer of 1980s band Galaxy, Phil Fearon will be lending his support to a charity supporting the end of street homelessness and food poverty.

Fresh Horizons, a black led charity, has worked tirelessly over the last three years to help end street homelessness and food poverty. The charity, founded by Rose McGowan, Ex nurse and pastoral worker, has distributed 23,000 meals and re-housed almost 20 people since its inception in 2015.

"People’s lives change so dramatically when they are given a place to live and stability in their lives. It’s very rewarding," said McGowan.

"It's also impossible not to take action when I see how much good food is being taken to landfills and how many families are struggling to make ends meet.’

Phil Fearon commented: "The charity is doing great work. I’m delighted to support what they are doing."

Fearon will be making a personal appearance at the charity gala, which plans to raise awareness and support for the charity’s work.

Fresh Horizons Gala takes place on Sat 25th August 2018, 6.30pm at The Sheraton Heathrow Hotel.
