THE OFFICIAL hashtag for 'The Voice' and JN Bank-hosted charity dinner and auction in honour of Usain Bolt reached peak position on the list of most-popular subjects on Twitter in London yesterday evening, remaining in pole position until roughly 9.45am GMT this morning.

Snapshots, videos, live streams and quips posted from the gala event were anchored with #BoltMillsLondon and garnered over 142,000 impressions on Twitter, meaning at least 142,614 pairs of eyes saw related posts appear on their timeline.

Twitter's trending topics appears on the home page of users to indicate what people in particular geographic areas are conversing about on the social media micro-blogging site. Appearing on the list is coveted coup for many brands and individuals, regardless of the field in which they operate. Many marketing departments pay in order to make it onto trending lists, however, the fact that they have paid for the privilege will be obvious to anyone reading the list.

Usain Bolt himself posted using the hashtag and naturally scored the highest amount of engagement of any user who had included #BoltMillsLondon in their own post.
