Break from convention

DOING THINGS DIFFERENTLY: Danny F’s political imagery adds a different narrative to the collection of work

AN EXHIBITION is set to showcase the work of three artists in a ‘break from convention’ with a twist next month.

Reel Rebels Radio hosts pop-up art exhibition, Perspectives, featuring the work of comic artist Danny F (Skank Collective), South African-born, London-based artist, Lindo Khandela and multi-media artist Carleen De Sozer.

Set in the rehearsal rooms of Reel Radio Rebels Music Studios, this exhibition disrupts art hierarchy and presents a passionate mix of disciplines.

The private view on June 8 includes a live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience with performance art by Demelza Toy Toy; poetry, including a piece about Windrush deportations written from first-hand experience by artist Rachelle Romeo; music, Ital Caribbean food and a licensed bar.

The free exhibition, opening on June 8 at 6pm, runs until June 9 at Reel Radio Rebels Music Studios, 7A Bouverie Mews, London N16 0AE. For more information on Reel Radio Rebels, visit, follow @ReelRadioRebels on Twitter or search for Reel Radio Rebels on Facebook.
