CHELSEA PLAYER Michy Batshuayi responded to alleged racist chanting from sections of Atalanta fans by suggesting that they go and 'watch Black Panther', the Evening Standard reports.

The striker, who's currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, started for the German side in their 1-1 Europa League draw against Serie A club Atalanta on Thursday night (Feb 22).

Batshuayi claimed after the match that he had been subjected to alleged racial abuse by Atalanta supporters.

Taking to Twitter, he said: "2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands ... really ?! hope you have fun watching the rest of @EuropaLeague on TV while we are through #SayNoToRacism #GoWatchBlackPanther".

When another Twitter user, @amadoit_, tagged Batshuayi in a tweet which read: "was that Atalanta fans making monkey noises at @mbatshuayi??", the Belgium striker responded: "Yep lol".

Dortmund's official Twitter account retweeted Batshuayi's original tweet in support of the striker.

This isn't the first racist incident regarding Atalanta. Last month they were handed a one-game stand closure - suspended for a year - after fans made racist chants at Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
