CHRIS EUBANK is launching a new career, far away from the boxing ring.

The 52-year-old Ex-champion has swapped sport for law enforcement as he started his new job as a police officer in America.

According to Evening Standard Eubank has been made a certified law enforcement marshal in Louisiana, and posted a video of himself at work on Twitter.

Mr Eubank wrote: “Sergeant Eubank proudly on duty in Louisiana. All warriors protect and serve, whether one wears a badge or not.”

Stood in the rain, he added: “I don’t have a raincoat like the rest of the officers, but it’s ok.”

The former super-middleweight champion received messages of support across social media following his post.

One user wrote: “You’re a top man, and we can all learn from your selfless ways, and constant desire to help others. I for one and proud to call you a friend”.

While another wrote: “Champ, you are simply an inspiration. So proud to see you serving in such a weather pleasantly. Definitely serving is in your DNA. A humble flag bearer. You earned our admiration, Champ.”
