Come to the Caribbean Food and Drink Conference

LONDON-BASED firm CaribDirect Multi-Media has joined forces with international food giant Grace Foods UK for the launch of the first ever Caribbean Food and Drink Conference in the United Kingdom.

The aim of this unique conference is to promote Caribbean products and services to the world. The CEO of CaribDirect Multi-Media, David F. Roberts, said:

“The main aim of the Caribbean Food and Drink Conference is to help provide the tools for Caribbean businesses to trade with the UK and, ultimately, the world.

“Additionally, this event intends to help Caribbean companies increase their value and competitiveness in the United Kingdom."

Influential business leaders from the UK and Caribbean who will be speaking at the Caribbean Food and Drink Conference include Dr. Dalip Ragoobirsingh from Jamaica, Bryan Treherne, MBE, Julian Edwards, Michelle Berriedale-Johnson, Dr. Gilbertha St Rose from Saint Lucia, Ambassador Edwin Laurent, CBE and Carol Hay, from the Caribbean Tourism Organisation among several others. They will be speaking on subjects as diverse as UK trade regulations, export, labelling, diabetes and intellectual property.

Celebrity chef Levi Roots, who slayed the dragons in BBC's Dragon's Den with his Reggae Reggae Sauce and a musical rendition, will be delivering a motivational address.

Baroness Howells of St David’s, Olympian Dalton Grant and international actor Joseph Marcell are Patrons while Lambeth College and GV Media are eduction and media partners, respectively.

The Caribbean Food and Drink Conference will be hosted at Lambeth College on 18 August with presentations, break-out sessions and one-to-one consultations between buyers and sellers.
