Conrad Murray will not pay Jackson family

CONVICTED: Conrad Murray

THE FAMILY of the late Michael Jackson have withdrawn their request for compensation from the star's former doctor, say reports.

Conrad Murray, who is currently serving a four-year jail term after he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter following the star's 2009 death, was previously ordered to pay an 'appropriate restitution' to Jackson's three children Prince Michael, 14, Paris Katherine, 13 and Michael 'Blanket' Jackson, 9.

Deputy District Attorney, David Walgren, reportedly told a judge he was retracting order after speaking with Jackson’s mother, Katherine, and attorney for his father, Joseph.

The news comes days before a planned court hearing set to establish how much compensation the 58-year-old should fork out.

During his sentencing a judge ruled that Murray had displayed 'unintended reckless or criminal negligence,' after he was found guilty of giving the 50-year-old singer prescription drugs that led to his death.

The Jackson's have yet to make an official statement.
