Drogba signs for Turkish side Galatasaray


IVORY COAST captain Didier Drogba has completed his move from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua to Turkish outfit Galatasaray on an 18-month deal.

The 34-year-old ex-Chelsea striker, who is currently on international duty for Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, joined the Chinese club in June 2011 from the Blues.

Drogba said through his representatives Sports PR Company on Twitter: "I am looking forward to playing in the Champions League again.

"The opportunity to play for this great club was an offer that I could not turn down.

Drogba scored 157 goals in 341 matches for Chelsea from 2004 to 2012.
