TRAGEDY: This incident is widely thought to be an act of terrorism

ONE MAN has died and ten people are injured after a white van mowed down a group of worshippers near a mosque in north London.

Emergency services arrived on the scene at Seven Sisters road at 12.20am this morning. Two people were treated at this time for minor injuries.

According to witnesses, the assailant - described as a "clean-shaven" caucasian male - proceeded to exit his vehicle and approached the crowd shouting that he wanted to "kill all Muslims".

A few individuals managed to restrain him, for approximately half an hour, until the police arrived.
