Formula one ace Hamilton urged to stay at McLaren

ADVICE: Lewis Hamilton

FORMULA ONE ace Lewis Hamilton has been advised to stay at McLaren. Former world champion Nigel Mansell has warned Hamilton it could be a mistake to leave McLaren for Red Bull.

Throughout the season there has been talk of the Briton teaming up with world champion-elect Sebastien Vettel and Hamilton has again been linked with a move to the champions, in the build-up to Sunday's British Grand Prix.

But Mansell, a former world champion himself, is of the opinion that Hamilton, 26, should stay with the team that gave him his big chance.
Hamilton has all but conceded the world title again this year but Mansell said: "He hasn't exactly had a drought. I'd stay with McLaren and the people who've supported him in thick and thin."

Speculation that Hamilton was actively seeking a move to Red Bull gathered pace when he had a private conversation with Red Bull team boss Christian Horner in the paddock at last month's Canadian Grand Prix.

Hamilton has made the headlines since the start of the season. He parted company with his manager, father Anthony, and has landed himself in front of the sport’s hierarchy on numerous occasions for comment he made earlier in the campaign and for dangerous driving.
