STYLISH EFFORT: Emmanuel Agyemang Badu (number 8) scored for Ghana against Guinea

GHANA'S 1-1 draw against Guinea secured them top spot in Group D, but knocked their opponents out. Guinea will be feeling hard done by after having Mamadou Dioulde Bah sent off, a penalty appeal waved away and an Ibrahima Traore goal disallowed to leave them languishing in third spot with four points.

It was Emmanuel Agyemang Badu who broke the deadline with a stylish individual effort, teeing the ball up before volleying it in on 28 minutes.
Guinea's leveller was down to a goalkeeping error after Abdoul Razzagui Camera misjudged Adam Kwarasey's free-kick.

Mali fought to come from behind and grab second spot against Group D's bottom club, Botswana. Against the run of play, Botswana scored first through Mogakolodi Ngele on the 51st minute. But Garra Dembele poked home just six minutes later after Modibo Maiga's header was parried by the goalkeeper.

Midfielder Seydou Keita scored the winning goal when he smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

Botswana put all their effort into going for the draw but selfish work from Ngele meant their best chance was wasted, when he went for the shot instead of the pass.
