WHEELY GOOD: Women will get their chance to compete in the Rye House charity race later this month

WHO SAID women can’t drive?! The popular Rye House, renowned as the early racing home of Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton is this month revving up their engines for a fuelled-filled special Grand Prix Ladies Day charity race in aid of breast cancer awareness.

The thoroughbred GT2 Evo 11plus high powered racing-machines will become the centre of attention on October 27 when women will enjoy an action-packed day on the robust tracks with activities that promise to be fun, fast and oh so feminine!

Auctions, raffles, tropies and bubbly will be aplenty and 20 per cent of the proceeds of the Rye House event will be donated to breast cancer charities and contribute towards making a difference to the lives of thousands of women affected by breast cancer.

Christine Taylor, events manager told The Voice: “Rye House is the perfect setting for women to kick off their heels, let off steam and get behind the wheel and at the same time raise money for this worthy cause - beginners, intermediate or professional everyone’s a winner.”

*Rye House Kart Raceway is situated at Rye Road, Rye House, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire EN11 0EH.
