'Growing concern' for missing elderly man

MISSING: George Marshall

POLICE ARE growing increasingly concerned for the safety of an 80-year-old man who has gone missing in London.

George Marshall, from Oxford, was visiting the capital with family members when he became separated from them at around 4:30pm on Friday (Nov 25).

Mr Marshall, described as a black male, 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build with a bald head, was last seen alighting a bus at the junction of Piccadilly and St James's Street in west London.

When he dissapeared he was wearing a grey cap, a black woollen coat, a black jumper with a yellow cross on the front, black trousers and black shoes. He was also carrying an orange carrier bag containing Christmas decorations.

Officers are particularly concerned as he suffers from dementia for which he requires regular medication.

At present he is believed to have no money or any form of identification on him and he is not thought to know anyone in the London area.

Anyone who might be able to assist is asked to contact Westminster Police Missing Persons Unit on 020 7321 9373 or email, quoting reference 11MIS039355. After 17.00hrs call the Met's non-emergency 101 number.
