Has Janet Jackson landed a headlining slot at Glastonbury?

HEADLINER: Janet Jackson

AS MUSIC festival lineups continue to be announced this month, many are still suspecting who’ll be taking to the stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival - and one of the names circulating right now is Janet Jackson, who has reportedly landed a headlining slot, according to The Sun.

Speaking to the publication, a source said: "Janet is re-launching her career in a major way this year and she thought this would be the perfect opportunity. She has never performed at Glastonbury but she knows what a massive deal it is.

"It is looking like she will perform on Sunday but her exact slot is to be confirmed. Organisers are still booking acts and arranging the schedule but she is really excited to be back."

The Pleasure Principle singer has yet to comment on the rumours about whether she’ll make her debut at the festival, taking place at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

If she does perform at Glasto, this will mark her first UK show in eight years and will be particularly poignant as it takes place days after the 10th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death.

Jackson passed away aged 50 on June 25, 2009 and the 2019 Glastonbury festival runs from June 26-30.

Other stars confirmed to be performing include Stormzy, Janelle
Monae and Kylie Minogue.
