Jamaicans urged to reveal festive anecdotes for new project

WE ARE smack in the middle of the Yuletide season, and, The Gleaner’s research website, is marking the occasion with the series ‘12 Days of Christmas.’

The project, which kicked off yesterday (Dec 10), will run on the diGJamaica blog on the weekdays leading up to Christmas Day (Dec 25).

Blog posts will include how to enjoy the holiday on a budget, holiday party styling ideas, Jamaican Christmas music and traditions and, of course, food.

Special feature, ‘Memories of a Jamaican Christmas’, seeks anecdotes from non-resident Jamaicans to share personal experiences related to any or all of the following questions:

• What are some of your favourite Christmas memories from back home?
• What do you miss most about Jamaica at Christmas-time?
• How do you keep the Jamaican holiday spirit alive or incorporate it into the traditions of your adopted homeland?
• Do you always try to come to Jamaica for Christmas? Why is it important to you to be ‘home’ for the holidays?
