Jay Z to perform at the Paralympics closing ceremony?

JAY Z could be the latest star set to perform in the Paralympics closing ceremony.

It has been reported that the US rapper will perform alongside his Roc Nation protégé Rihanna in the ceremony, which takes place at the end of the games, on Saturday September 9.

A source told The Mirror: "The Paralympics has exceeded all expectation and, like the rest of the world, Jay-Z has been blown away by their bravery and athleticism ... Jay-Z and Chris Martin are close friends so he helped to get the rapper on board. They are putting together a spectacular set list – one likely to include a duet."

Jay Z headlined at this summer's Hackney Big Weekend along with the singer Rihanna on June 24 and 25 and the 99 Problems star is currently celebrating his first annual Made in America Festival, which took place on September 1 and 2 to rave reviews.

The closing ceremony is based on a theme of earth, wind, water, fire and ice and will reportedly feature a new orchestra comprised of 17 performers with disabilities.
