CAREER MOVE: Jordyn Woods

JORDYN WOODS’ 2019 may have started out shaky after losing her friendship with the Kardashian/Jenner family, but it seems her career is now on the up and up.

From her collaboration with eyelash brand Eylure, to receiving acclaim for a new ad campaign for her sports apparel brand Secnd Nture which featured models with disabilities, Woods’ career is going from strength to strenght - and she can now add actress to her resume.

The reality TV star just secured her first acting gig, revealing that she will appear on season 2 of popular TV show Grown-ish, which stars Yara Shahidi.

Announcing the news on Instagram, she shared an image of herself in character alongside castmates. In the caption, she wrote: “This was the first role I’ve ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time,” Woods wrote. “Take risks and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer.”

According to PEOPLE, Woods will play a freshman named Dee who has a “sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability.” Her character will be introduced later in the season and will most likely build a close relationship with Shahidi’s character.
