Katie Price speaks on putting son Harvey into care

STRONG: Katie Price with son Harvey

KATIE PRICE has shared that she’s put her son Harvey into care as she struggles to take care of him.

The former Page 3 model appeared on This Morning where she said she has “no choice” but to put the 16-year-old into care because he acts like a “nightmare newborn” who scares his siblings.

“At night time he’s like a nightmare newborn,” said Price. “I don’t get any sleep. He comes in, goes in the kitchen and bangs about, goes in the kids’ room and goes ‘boo’ so they’re scared and come in my room.”

Harvey, who is blind, autistic and suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome, has previously smashed windows, four TVs and eight iPads this year, according to Price. She adds that he gets triggered into a “rage” which scares her younger children Jett, 5, and Bunny, 4.

“They get scared of him now. When he triggers off he’s so big. When he’s in that rage, he’s in that rage,” she said.

The former reality TV star admitted that she needed additional help to care for her son, saying it will also benefit his health and education. He will now board at his school from Monday to Friday.

“I love him so much he’s my absolute life, but he’s just hard work now,” she said. “At his school they do board them there and it’s taken me ages, ages, to be convinced it’s the best place.

“I’ve never done respite because I’d never want him to think I’m palming him off. But it’s come to a point where I actually have no choice. I can still go there and tuck him into bed, I can have dinner with him, I can come and watch him after school. I’m really nervous.”

Alongside Harvey, Jett and Bunny, Price is also parents to Junior, 13, and Princess, 11, with ex-husband Peter Andre.
