Kid entrepreneurs wow visitors at the Winter Business Fair

ENTREPRENEURSHIP: Roswell's nephew, Janoah

LAST WEEK’s UltraKids Club Winter Business Fair saw the youngest entrepreneurs in the country gather together to celebrate the innovative acheivements on Britain’s youngest and brightest.

The ground breaking event which took place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, featured an incredibly talented group of children between 5-17 years-old, who sold a varied range of products and services created solely by themselves.

Marie Roswell, a mother who attended the Business Fair with her children Leah (11), Micah (7) and nephew, Janoah (10) said that the event really showcased thte importance of learning about business in schools. “It was an incredible experience for the children and for them to be able to present their own ideas and execute them,” said Roswell.

“The children have been learning about business in school, and they were encouraged to create a product, market it and then sell it. This really helped develop them as a whole, as we saw children move out of their comfort zone and be able to converse and sell."

Some of the products sold at the event included cakes and boardgames to authors and beauty products.

Julian Hall, the founder of Ultra Education, said: "The aim of the event is to showcase the passion we have for entrepreneurship at a young age. Many of these children are at primary school, yet the enthusiasm they have for business is no different from any adult entrepreneur."

"We believe we need to embrace this budding entrepreneurial spirit if we want to give future generations the best chance of success”.

Ultra Education was set up in 2014 with the sole purpose and goal of teaching entrepreneurship in schools in the UK. Since it's launch, hundreds of pupils have taken part and graduated from the programme.
