Kingsley Burrell's grieving sister hit by burglar

STUNNED: Kadisha and other family members hold up placards calling for action over the death of her brother Kingsley at an earlier march for justice

THE SISTER of the late Kingsley Burrell said she has been left stunned by a cold hearted person who broke into her home, just days before her deceased brother’s birthday.

Kadisha Brown-Burrell, whose 29-year-old brother died in March following contact with the police, told The Voice: “The burglary happened two days before my brother’s 30th birthday. I can’t believe it.”

The grieving 28-year-old said the burglar took just £30 and a few other items during the break in on July 6.

Just four days before, she had marched with more than 1000 people in Birmingham, calling for end to deaths in custody and for those responsible to be held accountable.

“The burglary is too suspicious,” she said. “There’s no external breakage but they’ve gained access to my property through the rear window. They took £30 cash in the living room, two chains and my laptop. It’s very weird but they left my mobile.”

The July 6th incident is still being investigated by West Midlands Police. Brown-Burrell said: “I informed the police and I’m still waiting a response from the police a one week later.”

Facebookers on Kingsley Burrell’s memorial page have been sending messages of support to the family.

Facebook user, Tryphena Dore-Smith said: “I know its horrible sis, but don’t let them mad you up...there (sic) time will come. What shall we then say if God is for us who can stand against us? Romans stay focused sis have the people them with and greater than that you have the Lord God Almighty ... Stand strong. Bless up.”
