Krept & Konan are back with two new mixtapes

BACK WITH A VENGEANCE: Krept (left) & Konan’s new mixtapes offer different vibes

UK RAPPERS Krept & Konan released simultaneous the tracks from their latest mixtapes, ‘7 Days’ and ‘7 Nights’.

Wo Wo Wo, taken from 7 Days, is produced by EY and was premiered last week by Charlie Sloth on BBC 1Xtra. The video, shot in London, is directed by KLVDR.

For Me, lifted from 7 Nights and also produced by EY, was premiered by MistaJam on BBC 1Xtra and sees Konan sing alongside rapping counterpart, Krept. The video, also directed by KLVDR, was shot in Greece over the summer and features a guest appearance from world-renowned model and popular Instagrammer, Bria Myles (who was mentioned in Drake’s track, From Time).

A UK first (no other British act has released two mixtapes on the same day), 7 Days and 7 Nights reflect the two sides of Krept & Konan’s signature sound.

While 7 Days boasts hard-edged, grittier club tracks and appearances from J Hus, Skepta, Stormzy, Abra Cadabra and more, 7 Nights showcases smoother, R&B-inflected sultry jams and guest spots from Jhene Aiko, Hudson East and Tory Lanez.

The release of 7 Days and 7 Nights signals a welcome return for the trailblazers, whose ongoing critical acclaim and chart success has helped pave the way for the likes of J Hus, Kojo Funds, Abra Cadabra, Yungen, Mo Stack and Section Boyz, to name a few.
