London Marathon runner still missing

STILL MISSING: Mami Konneh Lahun

POLICE HAVE re-issued a public appeal to help find a female athlete who has gone missing since she finished the London Marathon in 20th place.

Earlier today (Apr 14), police incorrectly stated that Mami Konneh Lahun, 24, from Sierra Leone had been found, but have now confirmed they are still looking for her.

The athlete was reported missing after she failed to return to her temporary accommodation in Greenwich, southeast London, following the race.

She arrived in the UK on April 7 and was due to fly back home later today (Apr 14).

Lahun has no known links to Britain, police said, and is not believed to be in possession of a mobile phone.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 14MIS012462
