FATAL STABBING: Police stand guard outside the Dolce Vita restaurant in Leyton, east London

A MAN has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in an east London restaurant last night (April 16).

The 43-year-old suspect is believed to have attacked the victim, thought to be in his 30s, at the Dolce Vita restaurant in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, at 9.50pm.

London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance also attended the scene, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10.38pm

Police believe they know the identity of the deceased. Next of kin have been informed but formal identification awaits.
