MANCHESTER CITY player Joleon Lescott’s fashion line will be on show at department store Harvey Nichols.

The defender’s menswear brand Lescott Stewart was started by Joleon, his brother Aaron and lifelong friend Jordan Stewart last year, and their designs have been worn by rapper 50 cent and Wretch 32.

Lescott Stewart’s debut range of clothing, including a host of designer T-shirts, was showcased at Manchester Art gallery in April 2012.

Joleon said: “Having been a long-term customer of Harvey Nichols, it is fantastic that they have taken in our brand while it’s still in its infancy.

“It’s also a reflection on how much time the small Lescott Stewart team has put into shaping the affordable luxury that we feel sums up the range and brand ethos at our company.”

The retailer’s store in Manchester will celebrate the deal in a glitzy launch due to take place later this month.

Hoping to add more items to his range, such as chunky cardigans and leather jackets for autumn/winter, Joleon added: “Our initial tees were more ‘cheeky’ than provocative, but in our new collection we have slogans and silk-panelled tees that are not dominated by the female form.... fashion is cyclical, so in years to come who knows what will happen”.
