Man killed over $2 train fare?

HORRIFIC: The 19-year-old lies in a pool of blood after shot by police officers

A MAN was shot and killed by police in America for evading a $2 train fare, it has been reported.

According to a police spokesman, the uniformed officers had been conducting an inspection on a San Francisco train and detained the 19-year-old victim when he failed to show a valid ticket.

When the teenager fled the scene on foot, police say he then began shooting at them and claim that's when they fired back, a story witnesses say is untrue.

“As the man was running he had his hands up in the air, and then hit the ground when he was shot,” one witness said.

Police maintain that the suspect had a weapon on his person and that the bullet casing found on the street came from a gun that did not belong to them.

They say that witnesses could have taken the victim’s weapon when the man collapsed, or the suspect could have thrown the gun somewhere during the pursuit.

The suspect was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and he later died from those injuries at 7 p.m. The officers were not injured.
