Man shot dead near funeral

APPEAL: Police at the scene of the fatal shooting in East Dulwich yesterday afternoon (Nov 3)

POLICE CONTINUE to appeal for witnesses and information following the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man in south-east London yesterday afternoon (Nov 3).

Officers were called East Dulwich shortly after 3pm to reports of gunshots. A man aged 21, was confirmed dead at the scene, which was just minutes from where a funeral was taking place.

Another male, thought to be in his late teens, was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the ankle. He is in a stable, non-life-threatening condition.

Officers have arrested four males (no further details at this stage) in connection with the incident and they are all currently in custody.

Enhanced police patrols are taking place in the area where the shooting took place, with a highly visible police presence.

It is believed that the community members are assisting police with their enquires.
