McGregor wears "f*** you" suit to Mayweather conference

RIVALS: Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor

CONOR MCGREGOR and Floyd Mayweather's media tour kicked off with a bang in Los Angeles ahead of their August fight in Las Vegas.

McGregor will face undefeated boxer Mayweather on August 26 and on Tuesday (Jul 11) the confident Irishman reiterated his belief that he will end the American's perfect 49-0 record as the pair exchanged jibes.

The press conference was the first of a four-stop international media tour, taking in Toronto, New York and London in the coming days.

"He's in a track suit," a mocking McGregor pointed out, adding: "He can't even afford a suit anymore."

And arguably, the most standout moment of the evening came from McGregor's customised suit.

The UFC star told the 20,000-strong crowd: "If you zoom in on the pinstripe, it says 'f*** you.'"

The two competitors continued to trade blows throughout the event, as Mayweather reached into a backpack and held out a $100 million cheque for the crowd of 11,000 fight fans to see.

"Let me show you what a $100 million fighter looks like," he said.

Conor McGregor interrupted from his stool behind the podium: "That's to the tax man."

Mayweather replied: "You're right. I'm the IRS, and I'm going to tax your ass."
