Meghan Markle to attend Trooping the Colour in first outing

APPEARANCE: The Duchess of Sussex

THE DUCHESS of Sussex is expected to make her first public appearance this weekend since giving birth to her son.

The Duchess will attend the Trooping the Colour alongside the rest of the royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the Queen's official birthday celebrations.

The American was last scene publically on May 6 where she spoke at a photo opportunity several days after giving birth to Archie.

The new mum has been enjoying her maternity leave since the birth of her baby boy, and has been staying at Windsor's Frogmore Cottage, the home she shares with Prince Harry.

Trooping the Colour - which dates back 260 years - sees 1,400 solidiers, 400 musicians and 200 horses take part in a parade to mark the Queen's birthday.

The royal family website says: "The streets are lined with crowds waving flags as the parade moves from Buckingham Palace and down The Mall to Horse Guard's Parade, alongside Members of the Royal Family on horseback and in carriages.

"The display closes with an RAF fly-past, watched by members of the royal family from Buckingham Palace balcony."
