MMA star looking forward to putting on a show

EXPLOSIVE: Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley

BRITISH BAD boy, Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley, is set to end the year with a dramatic return to the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) for the last event of 2013.

The explosive fighter famed for being permanently excluded from competing in the UFC, will headline the BAMMA 14 card as he is set to face his biggest challenge to date.

Renowned as one of MMA’s most dangerous and exciting strikers, the welterweight competes for BAMMA for a third time having previously headlined BAMMA 5 where he demolished Yuja Shirai in just 1:46; while BAMMA 7 saw him win over the distance against Jordan Radev.

Daley, whose record is 33-12-2, told the Voice of Sport that he was looking forward to putting on a show, whoever he fights. “I’m excited to fight in Birmingham in front of my UK fans. Expect an action packed fight and a KO finish in true Semtex style,” he said.

“The BAMMA deal is suited to me perfectly right now. I feel their international matchups appeal to hardcore fans and the production and PR appeals to mainstream sporting viewers.

“Right now my focus is on my next fight in November, but expect me to fight for BAMMA this year at a UK arena show in December,” he told and Fighters Only magazine.

Daley's manager, Wad Alameddine added: “I'm excited to have Semtex back for 3 -4 fights on BAMMA and fighting in the UK again and I'm excited to see who BAMMA will put before him.

He added: “Paul is one of the most devastating strikers in the sport and his goal is to keep knocking people out. We're living in the moment and at the moment it's all about BAMMA 14."

Fighting predominantly internationally since, including at Strikeforce and on Bellator, Daley is now exclusively signed to BAMMA in the UK and can be expected to deliver a compelling performance on December 14. His opponent is yet to be confirmed.
