Naomi Campbell & Edward Enninful shortlisted for LGBT Awards

NOMINEES: Naomi Campbell and Edward Enninful

THE BRITISH LGBT Awards has today (Feb 5) released its shortlist for the 2019 ceremony with legendary model Naomi Campbell and editor of British Vogue Edward Enninful both hotly tipped to win awards.

The awards celebrate the campaigners, community activists and allies who have helped to advance the fight for LGBT+ rights during the past 12 months.

American drag queen RuPaul, actor Michael B. Jordan and TV presenter Gok Wan have also been shortlisted for accolades ahead of the glitzy ceremony, taking place in London on May 17.

Jameela Jamil has also ben shortlisted in the Celebrity Ally category alongside girl band Little Mix.

Sarah Garrett MBE, founder of the British LGBT Awards, said: “A really broad mix of deserving people and organisations have been nominated in the 2019 British LGBT Awards – it’s our most diverse shortlist yet. From actors to musicians, TV personalities and influencers, the list is an amazing group of role models who have supported the community and shown their commitment to raising awareness and advancing LGBT+ rights. The public are now invited to cast their votes on who they would like to see win.”
