ACTING CHOPS: Basketball player LeBron James could potentially be starring in a new Space Jam film
LEBRON JAMES' recent partnership with Warner Bros. has fueled speculation of a Space Jam reboot, sending the internet into a frenzy.
The follow up to the 1996 classic - which starred basketball legend Michael Jordan - has long been rumoured but this is the first time there have been serious steps in the right direction.
James and his production company SpringHill Entertainment recently inked a deal to partner with Warner Bros. Entertainment for a multi-platform relationship that includes television, film and original digital content.
Speculation regarding a James’ headed Space Jam project won’t die down with this news.
In fact, Warner Bros. just recently filed new trademarks for Space Jam last month, reported Forbes.

"To be able to partner with Warner Bros. will allow me to do some things I’ve always dreamed of,” James told the Wall Street Journal.
LeBron himself, who called the film "One of my favorite movies growing up," has previously expressed enthusiasm for the role.
Back in 2012, he tweeted a fan: "I love that movie. Wish I could do Space Jam 2!"
