One Monkey Don’t Stop No Show: UK tour

NEW PLAY: Jocelyn Jee Esien

ONE Monkey Don’t Stop No Show is a comedic play about a respectable black family, the Harrisons, who live in 1970s Philadelphia.

Avery and Myra Harrison and their son Felix, are the most respectable middle class black family in 1970s Philadelphia. After the death of her father, their niece Beverly arrives from the rural South to live with her new guardian, her father’s business partner Caleb. But Beverly’s fresh, new ideas turns everyone’s life upside down!

Starring Jocelyn Jee Esien (above, right) and Roger Griffiths, the show explores the theme of identity in a hilarious style. Written by the late American playwright Don Evans, the production will allow the audience to feel like they are part of a live studio television sitcom, with real TV and on-air lights.

From September 10 to November 5, the play will be touring Sheffield, Bristol, Ipswich, Deptford, Croydon, Manchester and Leeds. For tour dates and more information, visit:
