Pair deny conspiring with Smiley Culture in cocaine plot

TWO PEOPLE accused of conspiring with late reggae star Smiley Culture in a an alleged cocaine plot have appeared in court today. 
Lloyd McCalla, 50 and Carlene Wilson, 27, both denied conspiring with the star to supply £400,000 worth of cocaine in 2010.
The court heard that Smiley Culture, real name David Emmanuel, masterminded the whole plot before stabbing himself with a kitchen knife while making a cup of tea during a raid at his Surrey house in March last year.
Fury erupted after his death with his family refuting claims that the Cockney Translation singer took his own life.

However, following a Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) investigation last year, the police involved in the raid were cleared of any wrongdoing.
