Police appeal for witnesses after triple stabbing in Croydon

TRIPLE STABBING: Police believe the altercation started inside McDonald's in North End, Croydon, before spilling outside

THREE YOUNG men are in hospital with stab wounds after a fight kicked off in a Croydon McDonald's yesterday (May 11).

Detectives in Croydon are appealing for witnesses to come forward following multiple stabbings on George Street at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.

An altercation is believed to have started inside McDonalds, North End, before it escalated and spilled outside of the fast food restaurant.

Officers at the scene found two 18-year-old injured males. One had suffered a stab wound to the arm and the other a stab wound to the neck.

They were taken to separate hospitals by London Ambulance Service where they are receiving treatment for non life threatening injuries.

A third male, aged 20 presented himself at a South London hospital the same day having suffered stab wounds to the face.

At this early stage officers believe these incidents to be linked.

All three males have been arrested on suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH). They remain in hospital at this time.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident either inside or outside MacDonalds or further down George Street toward the station.
