Robber’s diary entry gets him caught

DIARY ENTRY: Jonathan Ochola

A ROBBER who took part in an armed raid was caught by police after allegedly making an entry about the incident in his dairy.

Jonathan Ochola, from Essex, told police that he was watching football with his brother at the time of the robbery in Portsmouth, but when the officers took the 21-year-old’s diary they found that he had made an entry stating the complete opposite.

It read: ‘Go Porsmouth (sic) robbery happens.’

Ochola assisted his friend Rashad Delawala, who admitted wearing a balaclava and threatening staff with an imitation fire arm, during the robbery on Saturday (July 12).

The pair stole hundreds of pounds from a branch of betting shop, Ladbrokes.

Delawala, of Iford, Essex, pleaded guilty to the robbery.

Both men have been released on bail and are due to be sentenced later this month.
