Sign up for the Arsenal charity run

QUICK-SILVER: Keep up with Theo

ARSENAL MAY not be having their finest season in the Premier League, but the players are remaining upbeat and are encouraging fans to conquer the cold this winter by signing up to the club’s annual charity fun-run.

Called ‘Be a Gunner. Be a Runner’, the event takes place on March 23 at the Emirates Stadium, north London. It is expected to attract over 500 fans and enthusiastic runners, who will do 10 laps around the home of the Gunners – equivalent to 6.4 km.

There are limited places available, entry price costs £15 for adults (aged over 15), and participants are encouraged to raise at least £100 in sponsor which will be donated to The Arsenal Foundation. The club’s charity seeks to help young people through education and sports initiatives, both in the UK and abroad.

In 2012, the fun-run managed to raise more than £53,000.
