Songs of faith and devotion

NEW ALBUM: Noel Robinson

DEVOTED IS Noel Robinson’s labour of love. It’s his first studio album in seven years and features contributions from some of the best Christian artists around including Jamaican artist Chevelle Franklin, Tim Hughes, Fay Simpson of Nu Colors fame and a song Noel co-wrote with Israel Houghton.

The album has already struck a chord with listeners, entering the top 20 of the official Christian and Music charts on its first week of release. And the songs on Devoted reflect Noel’s spiritual journey during the past seven years. He explained: “The album really is my journey of the last seven years of having to deal with rejection, shame, sickness and pain. My expectations are that folks will enjoy listening to this album, be inspired to worship and experience the presence of God wherever they are.”

He continued: “These were some real tough places I had to travel through. It was whilst in those places that I tried to find a place to worship. I am hoping that someone who is going through the same will be able to relate to some songs and find their place of worship and not run away from the presence of God. It was in his presence that healing and deliverance took place.”

Even though Noel has had some tough times, there have been good times – including the Renewal Conference he started five years ago, which has brought together worshippers from across the denominational, cultural and racial divide at events held throughout Britain. He said: “We have seen some 20,000 Christians impacted by the Renewal Encounters both practically and spiritually. I believe we are preparing the hearts of worshippers for a revival in this nation seeing the supernatural operating in their everyday life, locality and church.”

Noel’s musicianship was developed and nurtured in the church of God of Prophecy, where as a young man he served as its national music director. In subsequent years, he’s worked with numerous artists including Fred Hammond, CeCe Winans, Morris Cerrullo, Jesse DuPlantis, Reinhart Bonke, Benny Hinn, Ron Kenoly, and also done numerous events as a praise and worship leader in his own right.

Life is very good for Noel at the present. He’s respected, hosts successful conferences, he’s in demand as a worship leader and he’s in love. His followers can’t help but notice his sentimental social media posts on Facebook and Twitter about married life. “To have a wife that supports is special to me and I take care of her and celebrate her life achievements and ministry. Tanya has been very instrumental in helping me to believe and release the content that's in me. Having someone to travel with has been fantastic as we experience God’s faithfulness together.”

The next few months seem set to be busy one for Noel, but you can be assured whatever happens, he’ll remain devoted to God.
