Soul Women Unite for London Saxophone Festival

A QUINTET of female musical talent will be on show on June 8. Soul Women Unite will be one of several top shows at the London Saxophone Festival which began last month and runs until June 16.

One of the main events is a free Sax Village & Family Day at Chelsea's Cadogan Hall, followed by the Soul Women Unite concert at the same venue on June 8.

The five stars uniting are Carleen Anderson, YolanDa Brown, Terri Walker, Ayanna Witter-Johnson and Judi Jackson. The event will be a celebration of leading women of soul and jazz in a special collaborative concert.

Between them, they have won over 30 awards, played in excess of 4,000 gigs around the world and their music has been watched and streamed over 50 million times.

They have come together bringing their eclectic and unique sounds for what will be an amazing night of live music and unity accompanied by a full live band.

The London Saxophone Festival is a celebration of the saxophone through concerts, film, workshops and more. Bringing together lovers of the saxophone, music fans and students alike.

The Sax Village & Family Day is a free foyer event from 11.00am – 6.00pm. The event will be open to the public in the main foyer. Newcomers will be able to assemble and play the saxophone for the first time and be shown techniques, while experienced players will be able to converse and consult with leading musicians and industry figures.

The day will feature concerts for babies and children, as well as saxophones to hire or to purchase at special Sax Fest rates.
