Still Winning: Munroe Bergdorf is the new face of Illamasqua

HIRED: Munroe Bergdorf

MUNROE BERGDORF, known as the model who was fired from L'Oreal after calling out white privilege and claiming "all white people are racist" in a controversial Facebook statement, is now the new face of cosmetic brand Illamasqua.

The British beauty brand announced on Wednesday (Sep 13) that the transgender model would be the face of its new campaign based around gender fluidity.

“Munroe embodies diversity and individuality,” Illamasqua said in statement to The Guardian. “She is not scared to be truly herself. But Munroe doesn’t just stop there. She speaks out about the issues that affect not just her but the rest of our generation, seeking to improve the society we live in.”

Bergdorf, who is from London, said she was “excited” to be part of the new Illamasqua campaign. “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything,” she wrote on Instagram.
