Tanesha Melbourne-Blake murder: Two men arrested

DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING the murder of 17-year-old Tanesha Melbourne-Blake have arrested two men.

Tanesha was fatally shot in Haringey on 2 April 2018.

An 18-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were arrested on Thursday, 14 March, on suspicion of murder.

The 18-year-old has subsequently been released under investigation. The 22-year-old has been released on bail until mid-April.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on 6 April 2018. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.


Tanesha Melbourne-Blake was just 13 weeks away from her 18th birthday when she was fatally shot in Chalgrove Road, Tottenham, on April 2 2018. She died at the scene.

Tanesha, who mentored young children at a youth centre in Haringey and had marched against gun and knife crime, had hoped to become a qualified youth worker, and was “much-loved” by all her seven siblings, with whom she had a great relationship with.
