CRIME SCENE: The scene in west London where three teenage girls were injured in a shooting

THREE TEENAGE girls were injured following a shooting outside a residential address in West London last night (Sept 30).

Two of the victims aged 18 and 19, were taken to hospital and remain in a stable condition, while a 17-year-old, also at the scene of the shooting in John Fearon Walk, has been discharged from hospital.

Early indications suggest that a single shot was fired during the incident at 7.17pm.

Detectives from Trident, a force set up to tackle gun crime in the black community, are investigating the case.

Det Chief Inspt Mick Foote confirmed witnesses' statements that said one of the victims was holding her 11-month-old son when she and two others were caught in the crossfire of drive by gang shooting.

There have been no arrests at present but the young hospitalised mother has been named as Jessica Chrichlow.

Foote said the baby was unhurt.
