Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the UK


NOTTINGHAM PLAYS host to mixed martial art’s premier organisation as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Britain on September 29.

English fighters, such as featherweight Jason ‘Shotgun’ Young and welterweight Che Mills, will be competing inside the octagon at the Capital FM Arena in front of a home audience.

Young was last in action at UFC: Sweden against Eric Wisley in April, who he defeated via a unanimous points decision.

The 25-year-old from Lewisham, south London, looks set to take on Robbie Peralta at UFC: Nottingham.

Gloucester native Mills, 29, who was stopped in the second round of his last contest against Rory MacDonald in April, has agreed to face Duane Ludwig.

The last time that the UFC were in Britain was at the LG Arena in Birmingham on November 5.
